About

We are V-Nation, the future of Inspiration; a high-school robotics team, competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge, who have triumphed their way through 4 seasons of competitions and have come home with 6 awards. We are a devoted team that is dedicated to encouraging diversity within all subjects.

Our Values

Diversity

Our team is widely diverse in terms of age, gender and race. Our team is determined to break the stereotypes that encapture young people today.

01

Inclusivity

We aim to make sure that everyone is included in every aspect of our work. From helping primary school children understand the basics of coding, to helping Sixth-Formers discover their passion for STEAM.

02

Compassion

Our team expresses compassion in every waking hour of our work. In our last season we donated over £360 to the Toilet-Twinning initiative, providing families in over 5 different countries better access to sanitary education and needs.

03

Resilience

Ever since our rookie year, our team has shown resilience. From our mentor being, unfortunately, unable to assist us in 2022-2023 due to an accident, to our robot's wiring coming undone in one of our last matches in 2024, we have shown resilience and have never given up.

Our Story

We started our rookie season in 2022. Under the original brand 'Meliora', we just fell short of qualifying for UK Championships at Cambridge. But, with one of the qualifying teams dropping out at the last minute, a new spark of hope was ignited in us and we joined together under the brand 'V-Nation'.

At Cambridge, we went on to win the Motivate runner-up and the Design award.

In the 2023-2024 season, we went on to be the Winning Alliance and win the Innovate award at the West Midlands Regionals, earning a spot at the UK Championships.

Last season, we went on to win the Inspire award runners-up at Regionals, and went on to compete in Championships, finishing 9th overall, being in the 70th percentile in the UK, and having our best competition so far.

During the 2026 Season Decode, we took home the Inspire award at our Qualifying Regional.
